I have a 14 1/2 year old dog that gets 3 prescriptions twice daily for arthritis and mobility issues. These pill pockets are the easiest way she will take her pills. She never gives me trouble and always chews and swallows everything (I cram one capsule, and 2 tablets inside).

Getting pills twice a day, this 60 pack is a great value as it lasts me an entire month.

The only downside I can report is the zipper closures on the bags are very hit or miss. In 3 bags, I had 2 of them tear away from the bag. This is easily remidied by pouring them into a ziplock bag, but might be an annoyance to you and is worth mentioning.

My dog ate it off the pill. She takes 12.5 mg lasix, and it is a small tablet. I also tried crushing the pill and putting it in, but she would not touch it. Not the company’s fault my dog is like that though. They smell nice, and my dog likes them, when they don’t have anything in them.

I have three dogs that are getting elderly and are allergic to something at our new house that they had never been allergic to before. My vet told me to give each of them 4 human pills per day. They also tried to sell me on these silly Pill Pockets. I didn’t fall for what I thought was just a silly sales gimmick. So I went for a week or so of trying to hide the pills in cheese, bread, you name it–I tried it. Most of the time they would eat whatever I hid the pills in but would leave the pills behind. I got so sick of it I finally went back and bought their Pill Pockets. I didn’t understand what was so great about them the first bag I used. Sure they tasted good to the dogs, but the dogs could still spit out the pills. Then on my second bag I read the directions. OH! Now I get it. You can squish and mold the pockets so that the pills are completely encapsulated inside the Pill Pocket. This still works 99% of the time for me. Rarely do I get a spit out pill. They do cut well with a butter knife if you have smaller pills and want them to last longer. Just don’t let them go stale or they become less mailable. These are amazing!
